(VOVworld) - The 8th theoretical workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) concluded in Quang Ninh province’s Ha Long City on Saturday. The focus of the 3-day seminar is on improving the economic growth model in Vietnam and transferring economic development methods in China. The workshop gave the two Parties a chance to share views, economic experiences and practical solutions to set major orientations for speeding up the process of national development in their respective countries and elevating the comprehensive and strategic partnership and cooperation to a higher level. Theoretical Council Vice Chairman Phung Huu Phu said:“The 8th theoretical workshop between the two parties has provided opportunities for theorists to exchange experiences and learn from each other to bring bilateral strategic partnership to a new height. Through discussions, we have learned more of practical issues facing socialism construction in each country. There were valuable lessons that the Communist Party of Vietnam can learn from”.

Politburo member and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Dinh The Huynh presented a report on restructuring the national economy and renewing the economic growth model in Vietnam, while his Chinese counterpart Liu Yunshan introduced a report on transferring economic development methods in China.

Mr Huynh said the theoretical talks between the two Parties will clarify theoretical issues related to economic restructuring, economic growth models and economic development methods in the two nations.

For his part, Mr Yunshan said the seminar will help the two Parties become fully aware of the laws of socio-economic development to promote the process of national modernization and building socialism.

The theoretical workshop has become an important mechanism of cooperation between the two Parties and the two nations, he added.

The next workshop will be held in China in 2013.
