Vietnam confirms over 178,000 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

(VOVWORLD) -From 4 p.m. on Wednesday to 4 p.m. on Thursday, the National COVID-19 Case Management System recorded 178,112 new infections, of which 3 were imported and 178,109 were recorded in 63 provinces and cities.

Thursday’s cases were 2,443 less than the previous day.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has reached 7,174,423, ranking 20th out of 225 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 130 out of 225 countries and territories (on average, there are 72,595 infections for every 1 million people).

The total number of recoveries is 3,685,988.
