Vietnam continues to attract foreign invesment

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam received 3.4 billion USD in Foreign Direct Investment in February, 70% more than last month and triple the amount received last February, according to the World Bank’s March report on Vietnam’s macro-economics.

Director of Economica Vietnam Le Duy Binh said Vietnam’s success in containing the COVID-19 pandemic has induced other countries to shift their investments to Vietnam. Vietnam proved to be a safe, favorable, and beneficial investment environment in 2020, and continues to attract investors this year.

"Vietnam has maintained its macro-economic and political stability, which is very important to foreign investors," Mr. Binh said, "Vietnam is also doing a better job at containing COVID-19 than other countries competing for foreign investors. The Vietnamese government has built a friendly business environment, which will help attract foreign investment in 2021 and for many years to come."
