At a reception for Greek Ambassador to Vietnam Ioannis E. Raptakis in Hanoi on Monday, PM Phuc urged Greece to support Vietnam’s ties with the EU and the signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. Phuc said Vietnam wants to cooperate with Greece in shipbuilding, maritime transportation services, and seaport exploitation. Pledging optimal conditions for Greek businesses, PM Phuc noted his hope that the ambassador will facilitate Greek firms to seek business opportunities in Vietnam. He called on the two sides to increase cooperation in culture and tourism.
Raptakis affirmed that Greece always attaches importance to enhancing relations with Vietnam. The diplomat hoped that Vietnam and Greece will sign agreements on double taxation avoidance and maritime transportation at an early date.
