Vietnam, Cuba communist parties hold theoretical seminar

(VOV) - The Vietnamese Communist Party and Cuban Communist Party held the first ever joint theoretical seminar in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Monday, to further boost multifaceted cooperation ties between the two parties and the two countries.

Addressing the seminar, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, vice chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam  praised the close relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, saying that they are both on the right track to boost economic growth and develop socialism. She affirmed Vietnam’s determination to implement its renewal process, overcome all difficulties, and grasp every opportunity for development. Ngan added that it is also essential to open up the market, increase the Party’s leadership role, boost democracy, and build a law-governed State. The participants agreed that in the context of the unstable international and regional situation, the two communist parties of Cuba and Vietnam should be consistent and continue to apply creatively Marxism and Leninism theory in each country.
