Vietnam delivers messages on private finance mobilization

(VOVWORLD) - The Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in Paris, which closed on Friday, adopted the Paris Agenda for People and the Planet, the Vision Statement of Multilateral Development Banks, a summary of the summit’s outcomes, and the roadmap for implementing those commitments.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha delivered Vietnam's messages at a debate on Thursday. Ha emphasized the need to build standards, finalize a stable and transparent legal corridor, and renew the financial cooperation model between the government and the private sector.

Ha said that it is important to innovate the method of mobilizing capital from the private sector, developing green financial markets, exchanging carbon credits, supporting technology development and transfer, implementing strategic projects such as renewable energy, hydrogen production, and smart power transmission.

Deputy PM Ha met with US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry on the sidelines of the summit.
