At a UN Security Council online meeting on the Yemen situation, Ambassador Anh urged all sides to honor the UN Secretary General’s call for a ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations for a permanent ceasefire. He appealed for further support for Yemen and asked concerned parties to comply with international humanitarian law, in particular protecting women and children. All parties should honor the Stockholm Agreement and the Riyadh Agreement brokered by the UN, Anh said.

Reporters reported military activities in Marib, Taiz, the capital Sanaa, and the port city of Houdaydah which killed women and children, and attacks on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia. It was reported that more than 20 million Yemen people need humanitarian aid, including five million on the brink of famine and one million others forced to flee their homes.
