Vietnam digital map debuts

(VOVWORLD) - A digital map platform and a humanitarian information service, both developed in Vietnam,  were unveiled at a ceremony in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Vietnam digital map debuts - ảnh 1Vmap and iNhandao debut in Hanoi on October 1, 2019.

Vmap now incorporates data of more than 23 million addresses across Vietnam, including coordinates and useful information such as nearby landmarks, schools, hospitals or hotels. Besides basic features such as address search and directions, Vmap details house numbers, even in mountainous and remote areas.

Meanwhile the iNhandao system provides information about disadvantaged people as suggested by users.

“iNhandao is a tool to connect philanthropists with people who need help. Many businesses have pledged more money to help develop the system further,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

Vmap and iNhadao are part of the “Digital Vietnamese Knowledge System” project launched last year to unlock Vietnam’s digital potential in Industry 4.0.
