Vietnam earns three golds at World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has earned three golds at the ongoing World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships in Batumi, Georgia.

Le Thai Hoang Anh (Girls U12), Dau Khuong Duy (Boys U12), and Pham Tran Gia Phuc (Boys U14) are gold medalists. 

Vietnam is currently in second place in the medal tally with 3 golds, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze. The young Vietnamese chess players will continue to compete in blitz chess this Saturday and Sunday. 

The World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships 2023, organised by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Georgian Chess Federation runs from June 5 to 12, bringing together 462 chess players from 35 countries and territories.

Vietnam is participating in the tournament with 13 young chess players.
