(VOVworld)- The Vietnam Ministry of Public Security signed a memorandum of understanding on law enforcement and drug prevention with the Thai Ministry of Justice on Wednesday, within the framework of a senior officials’ meeting of Sub-Mekong countries to discuss drug prevention policy.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong and Thai Justice Minister General Paiboon Koom Chaya. The MoU was signed based on cooperative programs between the Vietnam Standing Office for Drug Control and Thailand’s National Committee for Drug Control. The Thai government will provide technical and financial assistance to Vietnam’s law enforcement offices on drug prevention and control.
