(VOVWORLD) - The opening and award ceremony of the 2023 Vietnam Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition, on Wednesday at the Hanoi Museum, saw 300 works of art on display, including 27 award-winners.

The event introduces works of art created by Vietnamese artists and sculptors over the past three years and promotes Vietnamese fine arts.
First prizes were awarded to Le Nguyen Chinh of Ho Chi Minh City for a work titled "Rose" and to Vu Quang Sang of Hanoi for a work titled "Phong Ba Tree." 6 second prizes, 10 third prizes, and 9 consolation prizes were also awarded.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Arts, Photography, and Exhibition, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
