(VOVWORLD) - All four Vietnamese students competing at the 2020 International Chemistry Olympiad brought home gold medals, securing second place for Vietnam on the medal tally board, after the US, the Ministry of Education and Training announced on Friday.

This is the best result ever gained by a Vietnamese team. The 52nd International Chemistry Olympiad, hosted by Turkey and held remotely this year, drew students from 60 countries and territories.
The four Vietnamese students were Ly Hai Dang, Nguyen Hoang Duong, Pham Trung Quoc Anh, and Dam Thi Minh Trang, who all took the online exam at the Hanoi National University of Education under the supervision of the Olympiad Organising Board in Turkey via remote cameras.
