Representatives from ministries, departments, and leading market research companies such as NielsonIS, and Kantar presented their research and analysis of Vietnamese and international consumer trends.

According to the General Statistics Office, total retail sales of goods and service revenue decreased slightly by 0.1% in May compared to the previous month due to lower demand and travel after last month’s long holiday. In a difficult economic period, Vietnamese consumers have adjusted their consumption habits by cutting unnecessary spending and limiting purchases to fit tight budgets.

Demand changes have forced businesses to change their strategies to effectively reach consumers, provide appropriate solutions, and create satisfaction for customers.

The forum reviewed Vietnam’s commodity market and discussed solutions to boost future consumption.
