Vietnam goes 16 consecutive days with no domestic transmission of COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam had entered day 16 with no local transmission of COVID-19 by Friday afternoon, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The total number of infections remained at 1,066, with 940 recoveries and 35 fatalities. More than 31,000 people who have had close contact with a COVID-19 patient or entered Vietnam from a pandemic-hit region are being quarantined.
