While receiving Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Mustafa Al- Shemali in Hanoi on Tuesday, Prime Minister Dung credited Kuwait’s help in developing Vietnam’s rural infrastructure over the years. He expressed his hope that Kuwait will continue its credit to Vietnam through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, develop human resources in Vietnam’s oil and gas industry, and consider receiving Vietnamese workers. He acknowledged the Kuwaiti government’s role in speeding up the Nghi Son refinery project in Vietnam’ Thanh Hoa province, especially its commitment to supplying crude oil for the refinery when it is put into operation.

For his part, Mustafa Al- Shemali said Kuwait and Vietnam still have potential for greater cooperation and Kuwait wants to boost cooperation in the areas of energy, industry and oil and gas with Vietnam. He also vowed to create the best possible conditions for Vietnamese businesses to invest in his country.
