The participants discussed the connection between airlines, one of the most important pillars in the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.  Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Administrator of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, asked India to streamline procedures of visa and entry for Vietnamese tourists. She also urged for the opening more direct air routes between Vietnam and India: “Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air plan to open direct air routes to India, which is considered a positive sign in the project for tourism development between Vietnam and India. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will work with the two airlines to promote tourism in India. We will organize some tourism promotion programs, take part in tourism fairs in India and invite Indian reporters to carry news stories about Vietnamese tourism”.
