Vietnam, Indonesia orient future bilateral cooperation

(VOVWORLD) -The fourth meeting of Vietnam-Indonesia Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC-4) was a great success, said Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son at a press conference on Wednesday.

The two sides agreed to encourage their airlines to increase flights and consider opening new routes connecting tourist destinations to promote cooperation in culture, trade, and tourism.

Minister Son said they agreed to consolidate and deepen their strategic partnership by enhancing political trust, bilateral cooperation mechanisms, keeping trade and investment growth momentum while boosting cooperation in defense, security, agriculture, energy, tourism, and connectivity.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said that JCBC-4 strengthened cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia in many fields.

To further strengthen their partnership, they agreed to complete an Action Plan for the 2024-2028 period as an orientation for future bilateral cooperation. Their next meeting will be held in Vietnam in 2024 or 2025.
