Vietnam, Japan enhance public security cooperation

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security, Japan’s National Public Safety Commission, and Japan’s National Police Agency have agreed to step up their cooperation. Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang, Japan’s National Public Safety Commission Chairman Keiji Furuya, and Japan’s National Police Agency Commissioner General Tsuyoshi Yoneda signed the agreement during Quang’s visit to Japan this week.

Quang met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Taro Aso, Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Toshihiro Nikai, and Vietnam-Japan Special Friendship Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro. All expressed their delight at the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership and said they hope bilateral relations will develop comprehensively to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
