Vietnam, Japan foster military cooperation
(VOVworld) – Minister of Defence Phung Quang Thanh and visiting Japanese counterpart Gen Nakatani have confirmed efforts to implement the memorandum of understanding between their two Defense Ministries on bilateral military cooperation and exchange.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Friday, both sides agreed to boost high-level visits and exchange between the two Ministries, raise the efficiency of dialogue mechanisms and consultation, and assure maritime and aviation freedom and safety. The two leaders also agreed to further cooperation on regional security issues and to work closely together at regional and international forums, especially at the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting Plus.
