Vietnam joins international efforts to promote gender equality
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has pursued its consistent policy of promoting the major role played by women in national construction and defense.
Addressing the virtual launching conference of the International Gender Champions – Paris Hub, Head of the Vietnamese Permanent Delegation to the UNESCO, Ambassador Le Thi Hong Van, shared Vietnam’s initiatives as the ASEAN Chair in 2020, a non-permanent member to the Un Security Council in 2020-2021 term and the Chair of the 41st ASEAN Inter-Parliamentarian Assembly in women empowering and gender equality promotion.
