Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang in an interview with VOV.

In an interview with VOV, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang said the visit aims at strengthening the great friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples.

The Ambassador said, 'During the official friendly visit, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold talks with the Lao Party leader and President and meet with high-ranking leaders of the Lao Party, Government, and National Assembly to discuss ways to make bilateral cooperation more effective and practical. President Phuc will attend a ceremony to hand over the new Lao Parliament House which was a gift of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for Laos. President Phuc will also address the first extraordinary meeting of the 9^th Lao National Assembly.'

Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang said during the visit, the two sides will sign a number of cooperative agreements.
