(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Saturday night to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, under the theme: “Break Barriers, Open Doors: for an inclusive society and development for all”. Addressing the event, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan called on philanthropists, including domestic and foreign organizations, to continue assisting people with disabilities, giving them more hope and will to make progress in their lives: “I hope that the Vietnam Federation on Disabilities will work harder to be a reliable address that gives a helping hand to the disabled. I also hope that people with disabilities continue to overcome barriers from themselves, be more determined, make greater efforts and integrate into the society”.
On this occasion, Hanoi on Saturday opened 30 transaction floors to provide jobs to the disabled and introduce products made by the disabled.
