Vietnam, New Zealand strengthen cooperation

Both agreed to strengthen the role played by the two Ministries in bilateral ties to leverage on Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee for more investment and high-level exchanges when possible.

They discussed preparation for early signing of a program of actions for their bilateral strategic partnership, defense cooperation program, educational and scholarship cooperation as well as tourism and people to people diplomacy.

They pledged mutual support in multilateral fora, including the United Nations and strengthen cooperation in the implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership  (RCEP).

Vietnam will work closely with New Zealand for a successful APEC Year 2021, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.
