Mr. Hue urged the two sides to expand relations and said the APC should send a delegation soon to visit and work in Vietnam.

With the support of the APC, Vietnam hopes to strengthen trade cooperation in cashew nuts, seafood, rice, leather shoes, and garments, and further promote cultural and sports exchanges with Nigeria, Mr. Hue said.

Mr. Oshiomhole praised Vietnam’s economic and social security achievements, which he attributed to the sound leadership of the Party and state.

He said he wants to establish close relationships with the Communist Party of Vietnam to open new cooperation opportunities in politics, economics, investment, tourism, and culture between the two nations.

The APC and the Nigerian government are ready to connect Vietnam with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and are looking forward to connecting with ASEAN through the support of Vietnam, Mr. Oshiomhole added.
