At a reception on Tuesday in the Nigerian capital of Abuja for a delegation of the Nigeria-Vietnam Business Association, Mr. Hue touched upon the possibility of Vietnam opening direct flights to Nigeria to support bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
Sani Bako, the Association’s chairman, who used to be Nigeria’s first ambassador to Vietnam, said the Association has strong support from the Nigerian government and the Vietnamese Embassy in Abuja.
In December, a high-ranking delegation from the Association will attend the Ho Chi Minh City International Trade Exhibition and meet with representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the business community in Vietnam.
Bako called on Vietnamese enterprises to invest in cashew nut farms and processing factories as well as wood processors in Nigeria for export to Europe.
