Vietnam praised for readiness to ratify EVFTA, IPA
(VOVWORLD) - Bernd Lange, Chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade, has praised Vietnam’s readiness to ratify the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement and the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement.

Mr. Lange said on Thursday that votes to approve the two deals will take place at the Committee’s meeting next January 21 and at the EP’s plenary session in February.
He said he would be glad to talk with senior leaders of Vietnamese agencies about issues related to implementing the two agreements.
Jan Zahradil, the Committee’s Deputy Chairman, said this is an important milestone in EU-Vietnam relations and Vietnam should make every effort to push for final ratification of the deals.
