(VOVWORLD) - Building an e-government is one of the top priorities of the Vietnamese government, said Minister, Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung at the Spring Meetings 2019 held by the World Bank in Washington D.C on Saturday.

He said Vietnam has applied IT on building an e-government since 2000 and gained certain results. In the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Vietnamese government identifies that building an e-government towards a digital government, society, and economy is one of the top priorities from 2016 to 2020, to lay a firm foundation for comprehensive digitization from 2012-2030.
Mr. Dung told the meeting that developed countries and world organizations, such as the World Bank, should continue to take the lead and share good practices with developing countries.
Vietnam is willing to share its achievements and shortcomings in e-government application with other countries and organizations, Mr. Dung said.
