Vietnam's efforts and achievements in ensuring and improving human rights have been recognized and highly appreciated by the international community, Le Thi Thu Hang said as she responded to a reporter's question about Vietnam's reaction to the US State Department presenting the International Women of Courage Award to Pham Thi Doan Trang.
Ms. Hang said Vietnam believes that the US State Department's awarding Pham Thi Doan Trang, an individual, who violated Vietnamese law, was tried, and is serving a prison sentence, is unobjective, inappropriate, and detrimental to the development of relations between the two countries.
