Vietnam pursues its multilateral foreign policy for peace and national independence and sovereignty
(VOVworld) - Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son has briefed the press on outcomes of the recent 29
th Diplomatic Conference which took place in Hanoi from August 22-26.

He said Vietnam’s foreign affairs sector’s key tasks for the next 3 to 5 years are to ensure peace and stability, to protect national independence and sovereignty while raising the national image for construction and defense.
External resources will be utilized to fuel national sustainable development while effectively implementing signed agreements to be a responsible member of the international community. Multilateral foreign relations should ensure active participation in international organizations activities, especially in the ASEAN and the United Nations multilateral fora.
