Vietnam ready to promote ASEAN–Republic of Korea defense cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien joined an online ASEAN-the Republic of Korea Deputy Defense Ministerial meeting on Wednesday hosted by Korean Deputy Defense Minister Park Jae-min.

Addressing the event as the coordinator of the ASEAN- the Republic of Korea partnership in the 2021-2024 term, Deputy Minister Chien reiterated Vietnam’s willingness to promote the defense ties for mutual benefit as well as peace, cyber security and Covid vaccination for ASEAN countries.
He added Vietnam supports the Korea’s hosting of multilateral fora, including the ongoing Seoul defense dialogue and the UN peace keeping ministerial meeting slated for this December.
