Vietnam records 264 cases on Friday

(VOVWORLD) - 62 more COVID-19 cases were confirmed from 12 noon to 6pm on Friday, raising the total number of cases in the day in Vietnam to 264. Of them, 149 cases were detected in Ho Chi Minh City, said the Ministry of Health.

The new cases included 5 imported cases in Tay Ninh (2), Dong Thap (1), Thai Nguyen (1), and Quang Nam (1).

259 domestic cases were confirmed in Ho Chi Minh City (149), Bac Giang (76), Bac Ninh (16), Binh Duong (12), Ha Tinh (3), Hoa Binh (2), and Lao Cai (1). Of them, 232 cases were detected in quarantine or lockdown areas.

Vietnam currently has a total of 10,742 domestic cases and 1,672 imported cases. 62 patients have died and 4,733 have recovered from the disease.
