Vietnam records 3 new cases of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - As of 6pm on Saturday, Vietnam recorded 3 new cases of COVID-19: 1 imported case and 2 cases in Hai Duong province, the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot, according to the Ministry of Health. 

The two residents of Hai Duong tested positive during their stay in a concentrated quarantine facility. They had come into close contact with COVID-19 patients before being diagnosed with the virus.

Both patients are employees of Poyun Electronics Co. Ltd in Chi Linh city where the first case was reported in late January 2021.

The imported case is a person returning to Vietnam from Germany.
These new patients brought Vietnam’s total count to 2,553. Of the total, 2,086 patients have been discharged from hospital after making a full recovery. The number of deaths remains 35.
