Vietnam records 6 new COVID-19 cases, all linked to Da Nang, Hai Duong

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 6 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, all linked to the coronavirus hotspots of Da Nang and Hai Duong, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The new cases bring Vietnam’s total COVID-19 count to 1,022. 588 patients have recovered and 27 have died. Most fatalities have been elderly people with underlying diseases. 

At a meeting the same day, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control affirmed that the Da Nang, Hai Duong, and Quang Nam outbreaks are under control. The Ministry of Health will soon publish guidebooks on co-existing with COVID-19 and epidemic prevention and control at schools.
