Vietnam records 7 new imported case of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 7 imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the national infection count to 2,791, according to the Ministry of Health.

The latest cases were detected in HCM city, Da Nang, Tay Ninh, Phu Yen, and Yen Bai provinces. They were all sent to quarantine upon arrival.

Nearly 2,500 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered. The number of fatalities remains at 35.

The Health Ministry said nearly 80,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
