In a letter to international partners, the Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said  tourist destinations are still open and visitors to Vietnam at this time are guaranteed safety.

Mr. Khanh updated the situation regarding disease control in Vietnam. Since the outbreak of the disease, the government has applied measures to control the situation. He said that  tourist attractions, historical and cultural relic sites, and restaurants are still open normally. With effective government control and disease prevention measures in place, visitors to Vietnam at this time are guaranteed to be safe. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism is committed to cooperating with concerned agencies to ensure absolute safety for tourists.
