(VOVworld) -The annual Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum 2014 (VSBF) opened in HCM City on Wednesday, attracting more than a hundred representatives from the two countries’ leading businesses. At the forum, Singaporean investors praised Vietnam’s safe and stable investment and business environment, strong economic growth, abundant labor force and wealth of mineral resources. In 2013, two-way trade between Vietnam and Singapore valued at 13 billion USD, 11% higher than in 2012. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vice Chairman Doan Duy Khuong said:“We met many officials and enterprises from the Mekong River Delta, who said they wanted to set up a model industrial zone there. The model will focus on producing and processing fisheries products. The forum has created a good opportunity for us to discuss the issue”.

The 2-day event will also include discussions on financial service cooperation tourism and hotels, agro-forestry, fisheries production and processing and real estate investment.
