Vietnam repatriates 320 citizens from Canada

(VOVWORLD) - 320 Vietnamese citizens were brought home from Canada on Sunday and Monday amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The trip was arranged by the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada, Vietnam Airlines, and Canadian authorities. The returnees included children under the age of 18, elderly people, persons with severe illnesses, pregnant women, workers with expired or cancelled contracts, graduated students with no accommodation, and stranded tourists.

After arriving at Van Don Airport in northern Vietnam, all passengers and crew members were examined and placed in quarantine as required by regulations.
