Vietnam repatriates 340 citizens from UK

(VOVWORLD) - 340 Vietnamese citizens were brought home from the UK on Sunday and Monday thanks to Vietnamese authorities, Vietnam Airlines, and agencies in the host country.

The returnees included children under the age of 18, persons with severe illnesses, pregnant women, workers with expired or cancelled contracts, students whose schools shut down due to the epidemic, and Vietnamese medical staff who accompanied a British pilot, Vietnam’s most critically ill COVID-19 patient, on his flight back to the UK.

After arriving at Van Don Airport in Quang Ninh province, all passengers and crew members were examined and placed in quarantine as required by regulations.
