Vietnam reports 1 new imported COVID-19 case

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported one more case of COVID-19 but was free from new local infections on Friday morning.

The latest patient, via the Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh, was quarantined upon arrival.

Vietnam has detected 2,421 cases so far, including 827 domestic infections since January 27 when it was hit by the third wave of COVID-19.

Nine provinces have recorded no new cases for 14 days or more, including Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Gia Lai.
