(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 14,591 new infections of COVID-19 and 223 deaths on Monday.
Can Tho city reported the highest number of new infections (1,189), followed by Ho Chi Minh City (1,174) and Tay Ninh province (859).
The capital city of Hanoi detected 587 new cases.
The national tally now stands at 1,323,683.
1,010,407 patients have recovered and 26,483 have died.
Over 54.4 million people in Vietnam have now been fully inoculated, while nearly 73.4 million people have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines.
