Vietnam reports no new domestic infections of COVID-19 in 5 straight days

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam entered its 5th consecutive day with no new COVID-19 infections within the community on Monday morning.

The national infection count remains 1,049, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

23 patients were discharged from treatment facilities in the central city of Da Nang and neighboring Quang Nam province the same day, lifting the country’s total recoveries to 838.

35 fatalities have been reported in Vietnam so far. Most of them were elderly individuals with serious underlying medical conditions.
