Vietnam reports two more imported cases of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam detected two more new patients contracting COVID-19 who entered Vietnam from abroad and are being quarantined, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on Friday afternoon. 

Vietnam had entered day 16 with no local transmission of COVID-19 by Friday afternoon. More than 31,000 people who have had close contact with a COVID-19 patient or entered Vietnam from a pandemic-hit region are being quarantined.

Vietnam has to date had a total 1,068 COVID-19 patients, 941 have been cured. The deathtoll has been 35.
