(VOVworld) – The 10th Vietnam-South Korea Environment Ministers Meeting opened in Seoul on Thursday. The meeting was co-chaired by Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang and his South Korean counterpart Yoon Seong-kyu. During the meeting the two sides reviewed their history of cooperation and discussed possibilities for developing bilateral ties in the 2012-2015 period. They plan to enhance information and experience exchanges, increase human resources for the natural resources and environment sector, develop technology and environmental industry and build environmental infrastructure in Vietnam. The South Korean side will help Vietnam revise its 2005 Law on Environmental Protection and realize the national target program on pollution settlement and environmental improvement. The annual event co-hosted by the two ministries since they signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation in 2004.
