Vietnam, Russia seek to facilitate oil and gas cooperation

(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has said Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for the oil and gas companies of Vietnam and Russia to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Dung was speaking at a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for Sergey Kuderyasov, General Director of Russia’s Zarubezhneft oil and gas group.

He called for the group to work closely with the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) to seek measures to reduce costs and enhance the operational efficiency of the Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro joint ventures and exert greater efforts to make optimum use of the existing oil fields.

Kuderyasov said Zarubezhneft’s cooperative projects with PetroVietnam were being implemented effectively as scheduled.
