(VOVworld)- Vietnam and Russia have praised the reliability and stability of their political relations and the successes of their economic, trade, and national security and defense cooperation. They agreed upon further measures designed to maintain productive relations between Russian agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. The agreement was reached at recent meetings between Minister of Pubic Security Senior Lt. General Tran Dai Quang and General Alexander Bortnikov, General Nikolai Patrushev, and Minister of Interior Affairs General Vladimir Kolokonsev. Minister Quang, who has concluded his visit to Russia, praised the close practical coordination between Russian security and interior agencies and Vietnamese police in implementing bilateral cooperation agreements. Quang said mechanisms for strategic dialogues on diplomacy, national security and defense as well as regular political consultations have operated efficiently.
