Vietnam - Russia Youth Forum 2019 opens in Hanoi

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam - Russia Youth Forum 2019 was opened in Hanoi on Tuesday to mark the Vietnam-Russia Year and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Basic Principles of Bilateral Friendship.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the forum, Le Quoc Phong, First Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee, said the event is an opportunity for the youth of the two countries to sharing experiences in youth movements, particularly in building new rural areas and start-ups. Mr. Phong said: “Together with the flourishing cooperation and friendship between the two countries, we hope that the young representatives of Vietnam and Russia will become the ambassadors to actively and responsibly contribute to the cooperative relationship between the two peoples”.

The forum aims at educating young people about the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia and introducing Vietnam’s people, landscape, and achievement after 30 years of renovation. The forum will run until Monday in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Quang Ninh before moving to Moscow and Saint-Petersburg from late September.
