Vietnam seeks further UNESCO assistance

(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan says Vietnam hopes to receive further expertise and financial assistance from UNESCO for preserving and promoting Vietnam’s internationally-recognised heritages. At a meeting in Hanoi yesterday with Director of UNESCO’s World Heritage Center Kishore Rao, Mr. Nhan said he hopes the UNESCO centre will help Vietnam prepare future dossiers before they are sent to the parent organization. Mr. Rao praised Vietnam UNESCO National Committee for achievements and expressed his belief that Vietnam will do its best to preserve its UNESCO-recognised tangible and intangible cultural heritages.
