Conference participants discussed regulations governing face masks and other medical equipment exported to the EU and the US. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import and Export Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, urged businesses to shift to manufacturing fabric and antibacterial fabric face masks for the domestic market and for export.

As of April 19, Vietnam had exported 420 million face masks, earning more than 64 million USD to Japan, South Korea, Germany, the US, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore.
