Vietnam, Singapore sign MoU on securities market cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX) and the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX)  on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in securities markets.

The signing ceremony was held in Singapore and was witnessed by Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc, the Second Minister for Finance of Singapore Chee Hong Tat, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung.

Under the MoU, the VNX and SGX are committed to enhancing coordination and sharing experiences in market surveillance and member supervision in the stock and derivatives markets.

The two sides will promote exchanges on the structure of each country's stock market, including the legal framework for stock market management, cross-listing management, market information, and information provision services.

In addition, they will boost cooperation in corporate governance, including sharing experiences in establishing best corporate governance rules and practices for listed companies and institutional investors.
