(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a phone call with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Thursday following the successful conclusion of Singapore’s 14th parliamentary election, which resulted in a victory for the People’s Action Party (PAP).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed confidence that Prime Minister Lawrence Wong would continue to lead Singapore through challenges and maintain stable, prosperous development.
Regarding Vietnam-Singapore relations, PM Chinh proposed that both sides enhance economic cooperation and expand Singapore’s investment in Vietnam, especially in high-tech industries, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and sustainable urban development.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong thanked General Secretary To Lam for his congratulatory message, saying the PAP’s electoral victory was attributed to the tireless efforts of the PAP’s members to strengthen public trust.
The two leaders agreed to intensify consultations and mutual support at regional and global forums for peace, stability, and shared interests in the region and the world.
They also agreed to hold detailed discussions on bilateral cooperation and other issues at the upcoming ASEAN Summit in Malaysia.
